Default harmonic balancer

I am trying to bolt on a serpentine accessory drive system from GM performance to a LQ9. I have changed the balancer from the LQ9 to the LS2 balancer. The problem I have is the balancer sticks out about 3/4 of an inch to far. Can anybody help me find a solution to this? THANKS Ranger57

If the diameter of the pully where the timing cover seal rides is the same all the way to the front, take it to a machine shop and have them mill off the amout you need. Also are you sure your setting it back all the way in the engine?

Are there any differences between a ls1 balancer and a ls2 balancer?

Sorry to hear, my grandfather was a machinist his whole life and kept a mill and lathe from his shop, With my ati dampner and the shimed oil pump I was about 1/4 to long so he spun off with out and issues. I could see the pattern of the oil pump gear in the back of the pully. Are you sure its going in all the way?
