Headers Or Nitrous
#1 headers: painted off road pacesetters $263. ory $150 o2 extenders $40, total $553 for a 20HP gain if your lucky. but its there and dosen't need to be refilled. a whopping 15-20HP.
#2 nitrous: super easy dry kit $225 bottle fill $45
total $270 125HP and refill bottle every couple of months.

How do you figure it would be or expensive? you would have to go through over 6 bottle to eqaul the cost of the headers? 6 bottles would last me 3 years. I have had the nitrous on my car for a year and not even through the 2nd bottle. I don't spray it every time I drive it, just when I need to spank someone.

the cost adds up though. if you're like me and could go through multiple bottles each month - just don't pay attention to your nitrous budget. these days the torque converter leaves little need for nitrous on the street, so i'm down to a bottle every month or so.
getting the nitrous up to pressure also takes a few minutes unless you spend another couple hundred for a nano kit. also, you'll want to be able to scan the car to see how its liking the nitrous (or just get it on the dyno).
i used to have mac mids, but took them off due to having a leak in both manifolds and having to deal with emissions. i'm now running stock manifolds and nitrous. i can feel the difference between stock manifolds and headers, but it is minor. the difference between nitrous and no nitrous is huge.
i could take the headers off, but never the nitrous.
$220 hsw wet kit
$85 MSD windowitch
$50 Dynotune bottle heater
$20 NGK TR6's
$35 nitrous fill
So $410 for my kit, but I just picked up a racetronix/walbro pump and a dynotune purge
