I just finished my 383 lt1 i put new forged rods and pistons i just dyno at 420 rwhp , I bought a nitrous kit for it and is rated from 75 to 300 hp. Can i put that 300hp shot or is that too much, is there a limit for the stock block, I have all the back up mods

 

this will depend on the parts you used in the build...and how it was set up.

It would be best to talk to the piston maufacturer and the engine builder to get their suggestion on safe limits of the parts.


As far as the block itself...there is no issue with a 300 shot.

The engine has to be purpose built and your builder would know best on what's a safe amount of N20 to use.

100-150 should be no issues, but as large as 300 if the pistons are not nitrous ready or ring gaps are too tight can have you rebuilding again quickly.
