Do you have to send out your MSD window switch to get dropped to 5 volts?? have a 02 trans am m6. mechanic hooked my window switch up but said it has to be sent out to msd to get fixed cause the factory tach part in the brain is 5 volts and the window switch is 12.. pleasde help me out...

 

Some people say yes, some say no. It is true that the MSD switch is looking for a 12v reference, and the LS-1 puts out 5v. MSD can mod it for $35-$40 plus shipping. Or TByrne sells them already modded.
