Default Couple questions about the NANO

I finally installed my nitrous setup and I absolutely love it. I spared little expense in exchange for having an "idiot proof" setup that practically runs itself. The only issue I don't imagine I'll be happy dealing with over the long term is the continual battle to regulate nitrous pressure.

950 psi would be ideal for my setup and on a warm day (70 degrees outside), the pressure fluctuates between 850 - 1000 psi -- not bad. If I run into something race worthy, I simply hit the button to open the bottle and arm the system...very convenient.

That being said, now that it's cooling down in Atlanta, my bottle pressure is sitting between 600 - 800 psi. I have a bottle warmer and it helps to increase the pressure, however how often do you get the chance to take a 10 minute "time out" when you run into another car on the streets? It seems like the fix for this would be a NANO setup.

A couple questions I have:

1. Can someone explain more specifically how it works to regulate the pressure. I gather it utiliizes nitrogen in a separate bottle to keep the pressure at a steady 950 psi, however I'm trying to understand what that would mean for my current setup. How would that affect my blow down tube, my remote bottle opener (NX) and my 10 lb bottle in general (NX)?

2. I presume since it's utilizing nitrogen to regulate the pressure, there is some additional cost involved in filling the nitrogen bottle? Any info you guys have on this would be great.

3. I presume installing a nano would require me to update my tune? Vengeance does all of my tuning, so I wouldn't mind dropping the car off for them to do the work, however I'd like to know if I need to work this into the budget.

At the end of the day, it's well worth $400 to me to have constant bottle pressure, so outside of any other major expenses, I think I'll be getting one.

Thanks!

You need a spare port on the bottle for the check valve.
Blow Down/Opener usage is not an issue.
The NANO Bottle pressure is 4500 psi
Local paintball fill place refills my NANO for $6 (they can only fill to 3000 Psi).
I have not run the system @ 3000 psi yet...
If your tuned for Nitrous, you should be ok, although they recommend jetting down 25% for the shot your currently running.

Give the Nano guys a call or email, they are pretty good bout answering questions.

With the nano system you can run compressed air instead of nitrogen. Since you have a NX system you can run one of there sport systems good for 225 HP. (We currently have these on sale) If you want to spray more than that you need to go with one of there competition systems good for 500 plus hp.

I would suggest having Vengeance recheck the tune on the Nano. They can also provide you with the Nano system which would give you a one stop shop while still supporting your local shop.

We can answer any questions you may have. We are one of, if not Nanos largest dealers.

Here is a good explanation of how it works.
