Hi I have a 99 TA m6 ,I am gona build a 408 ci nothing but the good stuff in it. I am torn betwen nitrous turbo or a supercharger . This car will be driven 3 to 4 days a week . My goal is 600 or more at the tire. I want to be able to run low 11s on street tires and mid 10s on slicks or faster . My problem is i know nothing about turbos or nitrous . CAN U HELP?

 

Just read around before you start making big choices. The site is full of great info and at one point 80% of the people on here were in your shoes.

Side note, I'm in your shoes now, I have nitrous on the car but am thinking about purchasing a D1SC kit for the car or building a T76 turbo kit for it.

 

Big question, How much money do you have to spend? If you've got upwards towards $10k then go turbo, if you only have a couple grand then go nitrous.

 

I think you will be close to your et goals on just motor alone. I like nitrous though so thats my vote.

 

The price for one thing is going to be WAY more for a turbo or supercharger. You could achieve your results easily with even just a 150 shot and a fairly mild 408. if you have the money to do a turbo then im sure you would have enough to go with a wet direct port. A well built 408 and a DP can easily get 700 to the rear.
