Default Wiring question

ok guys here is what i have, lol!!
well im looking into putting a fpss and window switch in with my nitrous setup... but i see all the diagrams on hooking them up that they run off relays... well every nitrous set up ive ever hooked up i dont use relays....

so pretty much here is how i have my system wired up and im just wondering what you all think i need to do as far as hooking up a fpss and window switch, and how to hook them up...

as for my main power supply, i have a power wire ran from my battery with a fusible link in it, ran to my arm switch, my arm swith is grounded off my cig lighter wire.... so on my other port for the arm switch i have another wire ran back to the wot switch... so when i arm my system it send power to the wot switch....

there for the way im powering my solenoids is by when i have the car at wot the other wire out of the back of the wot switch is ran to the solenoids.... so when armed and WOT the solenoids are powered, with them being grounded right on my core support....

So i did not see no need for a relay... much less do not really understand how to wire a relay...
so basically what im asking is how would i wire in a fpss to my setup, and a window switch... and if i do need a relay how could u wire in a relay without having to re wire my whole system!

sorry for being so complicated but thanks for your time!

no problem, the relay can be purchaced from radio shack or some place like that for a couple of bucks and is hooked up as follows:
on the relay:

post 86 goes to your arming switch,
post 87 goes to the n20 noid and fuel noid then the other wire on the noids go to a good grounds
posy 30 goes to the battery with an inline fuse
post 85 goes to to WOT switch then the other post on the WOT sw goes to a ground

That should work try it out and let us know, to test it, with out a bottle hooked up, and the arm switch off click the WOT switch and make sure the n20 noid and fuel noid are not clicking, then turn the arm switch on and click the WOT switch and see if the noids click, again with n20 not hooked up

The window switch and FPSS just go inline on the ground or 12v wire depending on which one you use and how you wan to hook them up, they basically just break the connection to the relay taking the whole system offline.

The wires on most window switches are the following
-12V+ pwr
Ground
-Tach signal
-Throttle position sensor, if the window switch has that capability
-Ground output for solenoid relay
-Ground output for solenoid relay (if its a two stage)

There are a few ways to wire in a FPSS, but the easy way is to wire it inline between the ground output of the window switch, and the relay.
To install your FPSS, you would need to Tee it onto the same feedline as your fuel solenoid.

Honestly, unless you're running low amp draw solenoids or a high amp toggle switch, you really need to run a relay. Most kits on the market now adays require the use of a relay. I know the wiring can be a little intimidating sometimes, but if you can just take your time and lay everything out prior to hooking anything up, it will go a lot smoother.

You can get an inline adapter, such as this to hook up the FPSS to your fuel port. To wire it in, simply run the ground wire through it.

Feel free to shoot me over a PM if you're still a little confused about hooking everything up. Thanks.

Nick
