The rule of thumb is remove 2* for every 50HP of N2O, (150HP = minus 6*). Personally, I would get the capability to monitor and make ajustments yourself, HP Tuners, EFI Live, LS1 Edit, etc. You can change your N2O tune back to N/A tune at a moments notice. Do you have a wideband guage? If your going to get more Extreme in the future, this would be very helpful to fine tune your ride. Good Luck!

He should be able to. If you are going to run the juice, you should invest in a tuning devise and a wideband, (Innovate, etc). You can't dial in without it. I switch back and fourth as the 6*-8* I remove kills the regular tune's HP in regular mode. When the NX is dialed, it's a rush!! I've got the MPVI Pro with real time tuning. It was well worth the investment. You can watch the knock retard closely not to get in trouble and you can record everything you do, make a change and do it again, instantly. It takes a bit to get use to, but I bet your friend can help you if you run into a snag. Good luck, Happy New Year!

I'm now running a conservative nitrous tune w/ 4 degrees pulled for a 150 wet shot. Call it a freak occurence, but on the dyno compared to a previous run w/ a NA tune, I only lost 3hp w/ the timing pulled. Not a bad sacrifice to be on the safe side if you ask me.

depends on what is done to your car. i personally don't enjoy pushing a stock pump as it's just that. Stock. not intended for much beyond that. timing is also relative to each car. As stated a good rule of thumb is 2 degrees for every 50hp sprayed. It will keep you safe and out of trouble most of the time.
