Nick, stop heckling the customers, we want to gain business, not lose it!

I appologize for nick, he doesnt have very good people skills. He sits in his basement analyzing ported intakes and reading text books on fluid dynamics.

Do you have any logs of any of your runs? maybe we can spot something and gain insight?

ATV, what size shot were you running when you first noticed the rear cylinders lean? I haven't seen this yet, but not at the level you are that is for sure, but soon, real soon. At least with the aluminum intakes and a normal type issue, that sometimes happens, hic-up/back-fire, we won't have to worry about the intake shattering and dislodging the fuel rails, lol.

Are you guys running the later steam tube set-up that the Z06 had? this was to address the heat in the rear for the roundy round guys, and as far as i know it worked? Maybe that's why some have issues and others don't?

Is there a tapdancing smilie? No, no logs for those runs. I've been having troubles with my laptop only giving me about 15 minutes of battery time.

What steam tube are you talking about? Mine is up front.

When it backfired the first time I actually gave my wife a high five. I just saved 1K by not going with a FAST.

At 250 it was good, turn on the other 150 and it wasnt so good.

We have a LS1 crossover on it instead of the block offs.
Is the ZO6 any different?

Intresting that you think that the coolant flow in the heads could cause the issues.

My next project I was gonna try something to possibly address that issue.

I can't totally remember the differences. But, I believe once the Z06 was introduced all cars got the updated system, and that was with the '01 or '02 Z06. So if you have an early set-up, then yes changing to late may help out. I will see if I can find the article from which the info was presented. I do rememebr that the circle track guys were having problems with prolonged running and the rear area of the heads getting hot, and this fixed that issue, or at least improved it to an exceptable point for lapping. I also know the corrected steam tubes cross over at the front and rear and tie together with one line running to the radiator. Other than that, not sure what else comprimises a change/improvement?

i see the nitrous issue is solved, but for academic reasons, i will take a guess at the original question and say that the vacuum signal would be higher at the smaller ports than the bigger ones. at least up to a certain RPM. i havent took a science class in years, lol, so i'm just throwing something out there.

Here's one of the backfires. This is my buddies video. We were running against each other. He has a HSW kit also and was running 9.1's when we were still dialing in the suspension. There were gusting 40 knot winds that put his light *** car into the wall.

I'll find another one. He was doing editing for creative effect I guess. If you watch all the way through the BS, you can see/hear my backfire at the end

Better, but the other one did show hitting the wall a little nicer. the sound was cutting in and out also, but may be due to the editing too? the way it seemed to act was like it was loading then starting, then loading somemore like it was an upload issue? tell him to work on it, as it is really a good job out side the mechanics of running smoothly, lol.

At least your car is metal and fixable. hell i almost hit the wall at 100 plus a year ago, and in a fiberglass body, man i can only imagine the damage. that's a nice car and love the paint. How come I haven't seen it before, or did I just miss it?

I don't post a whole lot of my videos all over the net. That's Stony's backup car. The chassis guy dicked him around for 4 years on finishing his super nice red 260. He bought that one and slapped the RB in it. Then we hooked up a HSW efi wet kit to help it build boost off the line.

My car is the blue one Robert

My wife has a video of every pass I have ever made. Including the pass where my white LT1 burned down on the return road. She's crazy like that. I guess I feel like my car isn't really anything special.
