Default Running a 150 shot? nitrous gurus come in!

Alright, last year i sprayed a 50 ish shot on my car and as a result i went 11.58@124.25 on a 1.9 60 foot.

My car at the time had a 231/237 112lsa cam, LS6 intake, full exhaust, moser 9 inch with 3.73's and a 6 speed. My car runs well, and feels good 57k miles...

This year i am adding a FAST 90/90 along with a HSW 90mm plate. I currently have 100 jets in, and that is what i was planning on running. I would assume to be tad over 500 rwhp on a 100 shot + the FAST (?), as i am at 415 currently.

Is this pushing things a bit? Would it be fool hardy to slip in some 125 or even 150 jets in there for a couple runs? I would like to get some thoughts on this. I know it comes down to tuning, and i have complete confidence in my tuner, but it gets to a point where the motor is on borrowed time, but, there are a couple fast cobras around here, and i would REALLY like to hit 10's

You will be fine, as long as you have upgraded your fuel system, have a good tune, good plugs, good fuel.

My fuel system consists of a racetronix plug and play, and i run 93 oct. I am going to upgrade my injectors (i know it doesnt matter on a wet shot).

What kind of power would i be looking at with the 100/150 shot + FAST 90 on my current setup?

EDIT: what plugs do you recommend? NOS suggested TR6's, thats what i currently have...

Where was your injector duty cycle before the intake swap? There is plently of power to gain on the FAST 90/90 swap and that very well could max out your injectors.

were you at 415 on the 50 shot or without it?

TR6's will be fine for your setup

My injectors were at about 88% duty cycle..

It was at 415 rwhp without spray, i never had it dynoed with spray.

Did you have it re-tuned with the fast, or just put it on the dyno?

I wouldn't worry too much about a 150 shot...I know a guy that plumbed two nozzles into his intake, one with 150 jets and one with 75 jets, spraying at the same time. i don't think it ran the best, but it worked and he didn't blow it up. here's a link to what a stock camaro with with 225 rwhp worth of nitrous looks like:

the car was never on the dyno with the fast, the 415 was with the LS6 dynoed by the previous owner.

Alright clarify everything JT. Car was street-tuned with the FAST 90/90 on it. His FAST manifold cracked. We swapped my ls6/78mm plate kit onto his ride. it went from 12.02 (n/a)to 11.58 (100jets with lots of timing pulled).
His timing was pulled for the bottle to roughly 18-19 to be safe. It had 100 jets in it. His FAST is now fixed and he added a HSW 90mm plate. It will be retuned for the 90/90 with no crack in it. I agree on injectors as I myself am getting some(36lbers). But other than that tune it and spray away. maybe go to something colder than a tr6 also.

You will be fine running a 150 shot. You have already upgraded the fuel pump so just get it retuned to make sure everything is safe.

Since he already has fuel pump wouldnt retuning it just mean to add bigger fuel jet and take it to dyno to clarify afr is in 11.5-12.0 range? and take timing out if needed??

You have to tune for the new Injectors if he gets them and tune for the new manifold and throttle body. You are right if it was just a jet change, you want to verify the A/F.

I have learned my lesson on thinking that just becouse someone else/car can do it that you can to. get on the dyno and make sure your a/f is ok . I hit 550/605 and i dont have enough fuel (lean)on the hit and doesnt recover fast enough becouse of the regulator way in the tank thanks to chevy.I have pretty close to the same fuel setup. Just be safe and get it setup on the dyno and dont listen to eveything you hear on the net enless its from a well known sponsor(mike). Make sure you also find a good tunner you can trust becouse in the end its our car and your money.
