Bottle Heater Wiring Question

Hey guys.
I bought a kit used from a member on here and it came with the Harris Speed Works Bottle Heater kit.

I was going to use this diagram to wire it up.

I am a total noob, and my question is this. On the two wires entering the bottle blanket via the second connector... how do I know how to orient the connector so that one is ground and one is the hot wire coming in... or can it be either or?

a heater does not care, one needs to be grounded and the other needs 12 volts.
