Default soft hit, and rich as well

OK guys, I have a HSW kit, nitrous outlet plate, and a NANO system. Mind you when the car was on the dyno, I had to use matching jets (not an increased fuel jet like nano states) well I changed out systems from 3k to 4500. The hit seems to be soft (150 shot) (38F, unsure of n20, 63) either way the 150 jet is in the fuel and n20 side. My AFR is hitting low 10's
(10-10.3) I have Hptuners, the car is tuned by a tuner, and it was in the high 10.9-11.2 range there, car was strong. What could I do to lean the car up a little bit, without taking it back to the tuner?

What timing range are you running. If you are running 22-23ish, I wouldn't want anything leaner than 11.8. If you are more conservative with timing then you can get away with a leaner AFR. The plugs will tell you what the engine wants. If you don't know how to read them (I don't) find an old timer at the track that knows how.

How are you verifying the a/f? I'm a little hazy on your post, you said it was at the tuners and was hitting 10.9~11.2, was that on nitrous or NA? If its that rich on the nitrous, just lean it out with the fuel jet or lower fuel pressure.

if i remember right, im around 23-24 timing. AFR NA is 12.8-13.2 Nitrous, is in the 10's. So i could go to a 125 fuel jet, say a 35? what would be the optimal AFR to look for? mid 11's?

With your timing, I would be looking for 11.7 on the jug.

What jet chart are you using? Try the 35F 62N which is the HSW recommended jetting for an SI plate kit. If that is still rich, go down to a .32F, or go back up on the nitrous jet.

At the tuners', what kind of power did you make on the 150 pills?

I see you are using our plate. With the nano the jetting will change a little. Like stated above go down in the fuel jet until you see an 11.8 airfuel. If you are not using our BIG Nitrous OUtlet solenoids our suggested jetting may not be axactly to spec anyways. make sure the nitrous solenoid you are using is opening under pressure as well.

What do you mean opening dave? I know its flowing nitrous when switch is flipped it def. activates. I was using the recommended jets from nitrous outlet. I will go down on the fuel side. Im thinking a .035 will suffice.

Just a lil fyi Dave, fuel jet is such a PITA to change with a FAST intake.

edit: picked up around 128 hp on the jug. 63N 38F

It will pick up alot more when you get the A/F right. 35 would be a good start, buy some smaller ones before you go racing.

yes, I will be going to the track soon, I think going to the 3k nano to the 4500 nano affected it, like stated above it was mid 10's on the 3k nano kit, now its low low 10's.

The hit is there, just feels a little softer. Btw im on small hsw solenoids, I was going to upgrade to one of the sponsors bigger noids, and go with a standalone, but decided I will be content with a 150 off the rail.

Also be sure to check all screens in nitrous fittings or solenoids. Also check the nitrous filter if you have one.

Sometimes this stuff can play tricks one you.
