Default Lifted a head

Well after alot of runs with this setup 116 octane in the standalone 67n 42f a/f was right around 11.0 I think the fuel solenoid failed at the top of 3rd at the track and when I got back I knew the plugs were knocked out and I saw some dexcool that sprayed. Limped the car home 40 miles it was misfiring I did change the plugs b4 I left for home. Car is a stock bottom end just cam headers 4l80e converter and 9'' ive gone 130mph with this setup oh well time for some ls6 heads and new gaskets and some studs.

That's an unfortunate failure. Definetly examine your fuel solenoid. If it went that lean you might have some internal damage. Most likely a ring land failure.

Im going to try and get the heads off today and take a look anything specific I could look for on the top of the piston? Checked the fuel noid this morning it seems to be working fine but ive had nitrous solenoids in the past work and then not work then work again. Whatever happened is really strange as ive been running this setup no issues for awhile.

Yes, chunks of missing pistons. My friend did the same thing in his turbo car and lost two ringlands (5 and 7). I'm guessing it wasn't that bad of a lift as it didn't take out the head.
