Default question about "v power" NGK's

i just bought a set of NGK TR6's and when i showed them to my father he said he read somewhere that you're not supposed to use "v power" plugs with nitrous. is this true? should i return them and get a different "power" or are these really the right ones for the job?

Not at all true. TR-6s have been the LS1 choice for nitrous ever since people started running nitrous through these engines.

All it means is that there is a little "V" groove in the center electrode. IMO, it doesn't really matter if that V is there or not. A spark will travel only ONE path...the path of least resistance.

You're not suppose to use a platinum plug. A copper plug is better suited for nitrous, which a TR6 is.

what is the point of having a V? does it do something special to make it better/worse than one without

V just moves the spark away from the center so it has less chance of being shrouded. At least thats how I see it.

You should stick with the gap recommended for the shot you're running.
