stupid nitrous newbie question.

Default stupid nitrous newbie question.

I am working on my old car 88 transam with a 383 stroker/modified lt1 intake.We are installing a direct port nitrous system from NX.I want to know where i get the fuel from.Do i just tap into the schrader valve??And do most nitrous kits come with the hose to go from the valve to the nx fuel rails.any help would be great thanks

You *can* come off the schrader valve (make sure you remove the valve stem).....but if you've got a built engine with a direct port, I would advise using a dedicated fuel system for the nitrous.

I don't think you should waste your $$$$on a direct port if all you plan to spray is a 100 . A single nozzle could do that just fine, and save a pile of $$$$.

But to answer your question, an in tank 255 pump, with good wiring (to provide proper power) should be ok for the engine and a 100 shot. I would still have a wideband gauge on the car when you spray it, to ensure that you don't go horribly lean. A fuel pressure safety switch would be a nice addition as well.

sweet thanks you for the answers.he wants the direct port for his next car/engine combo really.For this 383 all he plans on hitting it with is the 100 because any more may be trouble.He has the walbro in tank/a wideband/and the fuel pressure ss,so it seems we are in good shape.You have been a great help thanks
