anyone do their own refills?
i see the pump stations for sale and they all hold the feed bottle up side down, the place i get my bottle filled has the bottle in an upright position. is he doing it wrong?
i am told nitrous is about $2.25/lb in bulk, i have been paying 4.00-4.50/lb, thats about $20/fill i am giving them and then the time to go get it done every week too. if those numbers are true i could save $200-$400 per year doing it myself, that doesn't even count if i sell a little on the side. is $2.25/lb about right in bulk? anything wrong with that reasoning?
can you get all 70lbs out of a 70lb bulk bottle?
i have found refill stations for around $750 without seraching alot, includes all lines, fittings, pump, bottle holder. a really nice scale on ebay for ~$80. anyone know what bottle deposite would be? i will just call it $170 to make it an even $1000 to get completely set up.
i would pay that off in 2-3 years(less if i sell it to others) plus a hell of alot more convienent. ok, set me strait guys, what am i missing?
This is how I do it...
Nitrous Main Tank with no siphon... turned upside down...
nitrous filter from the tank to a on/off valve to some more line to fill the bottles.
Just freeze ur bottle first... flip it up side down a few times while filling... dont forget a scale... I have stuffed 10lb bottles with 12lbs without a pump... and u dont ahve to worry about air getting in the bottle with a pump. just whats already in the bottle and in the line.
