Default in-line fuel pump

hello,i have a 2001 b4c camaro with a lid,converter,m.t. drag radials,n20, and a tune.no headers, stock exhaust.i have around 340 flywheel h.p. at this time.with a dynotune 100 r.w. shot jets, i'm running 11.70's.i have tr6 plugs and 22 degree's of timing and a a/f ratio of 11.5-11.8 down the quarter mile.my question is i want to up the shot to a 150 r.w. shot which i will be around 490-500 flywheel h.p.i'm looking at a msd or summit in-line pump that supports 500 flywheel h.p. for nitrous applications.i kind of don't want to drop the tank, and wanted some input if i would be o.k. using a booster pump that summit sells or even one of the sponser's on here sells.any sugesstion's would be appreciated.thanks!

The only problem with doing an inline pump after the stock one is that your booster pump will have to pull fuel through the stock unit. Stock pump will not be able to feed the booster pump efficiently as it is a smaller pump to start with and will eventually cavitate the booster pump. Say a stock one will move 190lph, and your booster is 255lph, the stock pump will not keep up with the fuel demands of a much larger pump.
