Default i got some nitrous questions

so im mapping out what i want to do with my nitrous setup and here is what i wanna do...

i want to run the first stage on a WOT switch and when that one hits activate a progressive controller to add my second shot i want to run my first stage at 100hp and have my second be 100-150hp is there one controller that could do this? as of now here is my parts list

2x dynotune 8cyl EFI nitrous kits
1x harris speed works micro edge controller
1x nitrous outlet progressive controller
1x dynotune purge kit

i was thinking i could run the micro edge into the progressive controller to activate my progressive hit is this possible?

and i planned on running both of the kits trough efi nozzles until i could get a nitrous outlet dual stage plate is this gonna be a problem?

what psi do stand alone fuel systems need to be at?

I think you have a good idea going with the microedge but it is a dual stage non progressive unit. What I would do to keep cost down and be safe is run the microedge as a one stage unit giving the all solenoids a ground (for both kits) . Set the microedge to activate when the car is wot and between 3000-6500 and lets say 11.00 A/F safety shutoff. Then buy the dual stage progressive mini nos controller and you can progress the first and second stage and still have the A/F safety feature from the microedge. This way it will only spray if the A/F is safe and it can progress. You get the best of both worlds. Good luck with it

see i only want to progress the second stage so i don't really need a two stage progressive controller but yah i did like the lean saftey switch

what psi does a stand alone fuel system operate at?

You dont have to progress all the time with a progressive controller. You can use the microedge for the first kit or just set stage one to be 100% on the nos controller and put the 100 shot in it. Stand alone cells can run low psi or high depending what spring you put in the regulator. I think it is something like 3-8psi or the big spring is 40-50 ish. I normally like to run the higher psi setup.

and alright i see what your saying so 40psi would be fine? does this setup sound like it could get a cammed 5.3 swapped 94 camaro with a TH350 and 3.73's in the 10's?

You should be able to. I know someone that ran 10:88 in his 2000 camaro with headers, cam, intake, 3600 stall, stock gears, tune and 100 shot. I think it will work for you

That sounds like it will work. I prefer the Nitrous Outlet ones that are premade but they are a few bucks more

try like 500-600 more ha that one would be $280 a low pressure one using

1x 1gal jegs fuel cell
1x summit race fuel pump w/ regulator
1x summit -6an fuel filter 27

would run around $225

and now that you mention it would work i think im gonna run a low pressure system and use a tad bit bigger tank (4gal RCI tank to bring the total to $240)

Most of us are on budgets here. Stand alone is the way to go if you can afford it.
