Default Stand Alone

I put together a stand alone system and thought I'd share a few pics. This is a 100% new system for a little more than $400 with shipping. This is a high pressure system. A low pressure system could be put together for $50-$75 less.

How is it mounted?

Here is the one I am alomst done with. It looks like we got the same cell, but I had them not weld any of the -8 bungs in, I just used bulkhead fittings and -4.

I ordered everything through summit. I cut the mounting tabs off and it is strapped into place. RCI doesn't recommend using the tabs for anything more than mock up. I kept all of the lines big with reducers for future growth... -6an feed, -8an return.

They said that?

I welded two nuts in the front cross member and bolted it down, its sturdy as hell.

Still looks nice either way.. You test it out?

There was a tag on the tabs that said not to be used for mounting and can cause failure of the cell. I have only pressure tested it and haven't tried it at the track yet. I hope to soon. I have converterted to true duals and instead of mufflers will be using inserts. They are backordered through Jegs so I clled the manufacturer and ordered a second set and am waiting for either set so I can finish my exhaust. 2 1/2' of 3in. pipe off the headers is too loud for street driving imo.

Yea, you might **** people off. lol

I find it hard to believe that they will go thru the effort of welding 4 brackets on to it, then tell you not to use them. Doesnt make any sense.. Anyhow, still looks good, ill get out of your thread.

X3. The standalones that Harris Speed & The Nitrous Outlet sell are really nice, but for $700 I will make my own. I might end up relocating the battery and use that space. It seems like it would be easier to fit the cell where the battery is.

Looks good!. I have a nitrous outlet one but really wish i would have just made my own and saved the cash and trouble. Hardest part looks like mounting the pump or welding in some bungs.

Im using a stock pump that was free from a buddy of mine to keep the cost down. It should work fine.

Its just hooked to the hose and attached it to the -4 bulkhead. There is foam that comes with the fuel cell, I used that to keep it in place.

Also, if you use your stock pump you have to cap that little brass barbed fitting that sticks out.
