Default Any More NXL results?

Just wanted to see if there was anymore results with this kit. I will probably end up with the NOSZLE but the NXL is about $300 cheaper so I just wanna see if there was any results

Well, I might be able to contribute to this if I'd get my missing parts.

It seems like a good kit except they've sent many of them out missing parts (the lines that connect the nitrous to the rails) and also the jetting seems overly conservative at this point from others results. I'm sure there will be more jets and jetting schemes out at some point once more people get this kit and more testing is done. Just FYI though I heard that the NOSzle has had jetting issues also being that the jets are rated at the improper fuel pressure for the LS1. I have a feeling this is the problem with the NXL jets as well.

If you're looking for something that can do larger than a 150 shot right now I'd go with the NOSzle or some other kit personally, but the NXL will be good once some of the kinks are worked out - I don't regret buying it I just wish there were more jets available and they paid a little more attention to QC before they sent the kits out.

JF Ws6, yeah a lot of people had issues, luckily I had been talking with Dave, Nitrous Outlet, and he hooked me up...thanks again Dave. Anyway, the jetting I belive will be really close to what you will want, as far as the AFR goes. I had mine really fat and hit the button to wideband it and it went down to hi9-mid 10. So, get my NA afr up from 12.4 to 13.3, and that should raise the spray from 10.2 to about 11.1. Quite safe and better that way. I am going to order a master or pro jet pack once I get everything else done, hopefuly soneone will beat me to the jetting codes!

Thanx for the info fellas. I don't plan on buying my direct port until around Christmas time so it should give everyone plenty of time to get some of the kinks sorted out.

I know East Side Performance has had a lot of success with the Noszle so I think they could hook me up with what I need to know about jetting it right.

Good luck with your kits guys and post up your results

Well, the thing for me that's frustrating and rubs salt into the wound is that Nitro Dave's is who I got my kit from also. I've talked to them on several occassions and I still don't have those critical missing pieces for some reason even though several people have ordered their kit AFTER me (such as yourself) and have gotten their parts already. I was one of the people who got sent a kit from the very first batch that was delivered and I feel like I'm the only one left who still doesn't have those missing parts.

I hate to keep calling and bugging them but I don't know what else to do....

oh, ughhh...

Sorry man, but you have every right to call, I can say its not Dave. Unless you really pissed him off when you were kids or something j/k... He had to get with NX to have the lines and Y fittings shipped from NX. My experience says Daves=excellent service, NX=leaves a lot to be desired! Call again man.

Dave probably had NX send it but NX is a little slow. It took me a week and a half and they only sent the Y fitting and the lines I was still missing the mounting bolts that finally showed up almost 3 weeks after the original phone call.

Hi Dave, thanks for the reply. No, unfortunately I still don't have them.

I know it's not you guys' fault, it's NX. I think I've called you guys like 2-3 times now and every time you guys are very friendly and helpful but somewhere along the line someone keeps dropping the ball on my missing parts.

I called last week and talked to someone that was really nice but he said he'd need a couple days to take care of it - that was last Thursday, I've been looking for a shipment all week and I still don't have the parts.

I'll call later this afternoon, my name is Joel. I was missing the WOT switch and the nitrous Y fitting and lines. You probably have me on file there a couple times over. Thanks Dave.

Hey Dave,

Don't worry about it.... Tim from NX just called me and told me it's there... the UPS office is only about 5-10 minutes from my place so I'm going to swing by after work and pick it up. Thanks for helping me out Dave! I'm glad it was just a typo (mistakes happen) and not NX just blowing me off.

Thanks again... You guys rock.

I'll let you know if something happens, but hopefully I'll be able to pick up the missing pieces at UPS this evening.

Hopefully NX will get back on track after their recent bout of problems. Tim was very apologetic and curteous.

Ok back on topic...Results.

Went tonight...ran a few times NA. Have new Adj LCA's from Jeff (MAdman thread in Sponsor section) New Hoosier slicks, New front 'R' HAL's, then of course the NXL. The hesitation isnt there as much now, seems to be bleeding out, like air caught up in the lines. neway,

Wet @ 175 NXL @ 180
best 60' 1.51 1.78
ET 11.01 11.32
trap 122.26 121.86
over 1200psi bottle pressure under 800!
So, I think the AFR is wacky do to the low bottle pressure, more gas thing going on.....Was in mid-10's even after adjust PE table via Predator so NA is 13.2:1. Theres more in here but have to wait til tomorrow. Oh yeah, I didnt get the ne LCA's tight enough and they came loose on launch!

Well, atleast it looks like your MPH is close, but considering your bottle pressure and your 60' I think you'd be right there.... I'm sure it will run much better and outperform your old wet kit once the tune is figured out.

Ok, went back to the track with the remaining bottle from last night, and then a new 10lb bottle that was also stored in my closet for a couple days in the AC room! Anyway, I got whole 4 runs (total) on the old bottle, normally get 7 runs on a wet 175! Swapped bottles, made 2 passes on it, the pressure first pass was about 800 then second pass on new bottle got 925psi, using a buddies bottle heater.
Although I dont know what the DA was for this night, or the night of my best Wet time, this night was not yielding anyone better results so I would say weather not good. I did get my best mph 122.86 (ran it 3x), my previous was 122.34 (ran it once). NXL ET best of 11.12, and 175wet was 11.01. Worse 60'...need to dial in new suspension, think the pinion angle is too far positive now, but neway. No ten tonight. Remember on my 11.01 the bottle pressure was way up there, so I think if i can get the bottle to about 1100psi, then I should be good.
Basically havent had the big loss of power with NXL like some say....but the intial hesitation is there, maybe purge, maybe unequal line length, maybe designed in via the fuel rails internal channels.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but what is the maximum shot allowed with the NXL before you need to upgrade your fuel pump and/or fuel injectors?

Dave, I dunno about anyone else, but as promised the weekend I got the kit, I posted times, just like cake man.

bad2000ss, I would say you can run a 140shot, 22n/11f jetting and be safe max, but would count on the 120 being a conservative safe side but depends on your mods too, if you have H/C etc then less of a shot due to the other mods robbing fuel first. As for injectors, not much a concern being the NXL is essentially a wet kit adding fuel above and beyond the injectors requirement.
