Default TNT Power ring question

All,

I recently picked up a TNT power ring kit from a member here on the board, being told it was a 78mm setup. However, the smaller side of the ring measures (inside diameter) roughly 3 9/16) inches = 90.4875 millimeters. I'm guessing this is a 90mm ring, is that correct? Guess it won't work for me.

Thanks for your help.

Andrew,

Which part of the ring are you measuring? The ID of the ring that holds the o-ring should be roughly 100mm. The ID of the ring in the area where the nozzle mounts should be roughly 91mm. Take a look at a 78mm throttle body, it slowly tapers open towards the front of the throttle body, hence the larger than 78mm port on the TNT ring. Sounds like you might have the right ring.

Nick,

That sounds correct - the side w/ the o-ring is right around 100mm and the other side is 90-91mm. This is correct for a 78mm TB?

Thanks for your help!

Yup. The 78mm on a throttle body is its smallest diameter, it tapers open towards the front. If you're close enough to the shop you can stop up and try it on a few throttle bodies.

Good information, really appreciate your help Nick. When I get a few minutes I can test it on my LS6 throttle body.

I would however like to check out your shop sometime!

I have the cards but they do not show jettings for a 175. I can scan them and email to you if you like. I will post below:

HP- Fuel- Nitrous
75- 18- 31
100- 22-39
150- 25-46
200- 28- 51
250- 31- 58

Don't forget it is 2 of each jets so for 100HP you need 2 #22 fuel and 2 #39 jets.

These are different from other kits. Seen to be a bit higher jetting. But I copied it straight of the F1 and F2 cards.
