Default Dumb question about staging nitrous....

Been doing some reading, one thing I'm not sure I understand, probably 2 right answers:

When guys spray 2 or more kits or stages, are they running them both together or one then the other? Like say you start out with 100 then bring in another 150, are you running 250 or just the 100 THEN the 150? I suppose you could do either or....

if im not mistaken the kits compound at that point and it totals them together. i think thats why alot of two stagers run two bottles so they dont loose pressure when the engage the second. but i could be wrong, i know ive seen and heard about folks running two stages on one bottle

stacking them is that 2 stages at the same time. some guys will have a small 1st then bring a 2nd big one on and turn the first one off. I never turn off a kit thats on.

Same here^^^

Tuning is a little trickier when you run two stages though. You can't just tune them both separately and expect them both to work ok together.
