why propane instead of nitrous?
I'm new to the nitrous scene so please dont ridicule me because of my lack of knowledge. P.S. (i'm only 19
) As far as i understand propane has a higher octane rating and is cheaper than NO2, but if thats the case why hasn't propane caught on like the nitrous oxide. They (Viper guys) sometimes use nitrous and propane. Propane is like 130 octane, so they use this instead of gasoline with a wet nitrous system. I have seen some pics.....15 lb. nitrous bottle next to a propane tank....looks silly but seems to work well. Its sort of like adding a separate fuel system to run high octane race fuel through the fuel solenoid when using nitrous, so really I guess it isnt any more silly than having a 1-4 gallon fuel cell, lines, filter, pump, regulator, etc....
Basically they run the stock fuel system and use the propane to add high octane "fuel" for nitrous use.

Still considering this route, of course tied into the NXL.
this is the kit I was looking into. I am still thinking of it. Easy to set up with the NXL, just need more time before I deploy. But to satisfy those interested:
Cap off the fuel solenoid, and fuel feeder lines off the new NXL rails. Mount a distro block to each side (or where ever you want it), run the fuel feeder lines from the NXL kit to the Distro block and run the PP to a noi before each block. Just need to find out about jet sizing and all. Now running a 180 shot, soon 220. I dont need to be experimenting with the wrong pp jet sizing.
