FYI without the basic records along the way the ls1 would not be where it is. there were alot of people pushing the bolt on record, cam only, stock bottom end, etc to get the cars where they are now.

Im ok with the records above and maybe a sub cat for tranny type. what does it hurt?

The records above are ok but when people start asking about the recrd for a stock bottom end on a 100 shot, or a stock bottom 6.0 on a nitrous with a manual, or the fastest 98 model 6 speed nitorus car.

I agree that some records help the LS community but now its getting to a point where everyone wants to hold a record so they basically come up with their own category and poof now everyone claims they're a nation wide record holder.

I think the records you should have should be like LS natural aspirated, LS nitrous, LS Turbo/Supercharged.... And the same for the LTx. Those are the only records I usually look at. Either you are the man or you're a nutswinger.. LOL....

And records for autos and manuals in those categories definitely to recognize the guys who do it shifting... my car used to be a stick and it takes some driving skill..... having bolt on only records gets confusing... fastest with only a CAI kit.... come on.....

yea, i like the fastest stock cube, fastest bolt on car, cam only, heads cam, nitrous FI, its all good. but fastest P1 vett, 6 speed with drag radials and stock gear ratio is a little much. lol

I have a few records my self. Fastest green 2500 at Milan, biggest tire fire, highest miles and spray. Looks like I hold more then anyone in this thread so far! Should I go on! I laugh when I see all these guys "building a car for the XXXXX record!" Records push others to work harder but **** gets ridiculous fast! Soon we will need to break event the agreed upon records by temp and date. Good luck to all and lets get faster so we all can hold a record in our own mind.
