What bottle PSI should I use????

From: BOSTON IS MY HOME, BUT NOW, IAM A PERMINENT VISITER HERE IN TAMPA.

What bottle PSI should I use????

For all you nitrous guys out there...... Im going to the dyno tomorrow and I wanted to ask what do you guys think I should have my bottle PSI at??? Its a 2001 Z06 H/C with TNT 100 SHOT (F1 KIT). 1100 PSI????? TNT told me 1080 PSI. What do you guys think...

I believe that 1080 PSI is optimal bottle pressure. I would dyno at that PSI.

I wouldn't use anything over 975. It's much easier to maintain 900-950. So if you get your tune right for that bottle pressure then you won't ever have problems.

I have seen it both ways actually.. keep an eye on the A/F and I dynoed best at 950 but I have seen others do better at higher PSI's

Yes, it is easier to maintain a lower bottle pressure of ~975 and tune accordingly but be careful. On those hot summer days you could easily see 1200psi, and spray quite lean if you don't catch it.

Just something to watch for.

this is really up to you but the unwritten rule is NEVER spray above 1200PSI... the solenoid may stick open at that pressure or severly lean out. i test my systems on the dyno at 1200 PSI so i know where i am at if i do spray there on a hot day or if i need a bit more out of it for the final round. the "optimum" pressure varies from the NOS recommended 900 to the TNT recommended 1080. i personally like 1-1200 with my optimum being closer to 1000 which is easier to maintain than the higher pressures. lower pressure will just result in a fat AF ratio but high pressure will create lean which is not good if your running a 12.8 ratio to begin with... i prefer my systems to run 10.5 optimum on a stock bottom end to give more latitiude in case of higher pressures as well as extra cushion.

I HIGHLY recommend a pressure gauge that is easily read. a full bottle will see up to 2000PSI on a very hot day or if for some reason your bottle warmer does not kick off.... this simple prevention will save your wallet from an expensive rebuild.
