Default fuel pressure dropping after nitrous

I did a stand alone for my nitrous set up, using the blue holley electric pump. I bought a aeromotive regulator hooked everything up set my regulator to 6 PSI and took it for a test drive. After the first spray pressure drops to 4 PSI and doesnt come up. I called Jegs to see why the regulator is dropping pressure and guy said it might be bc the gauge gets hot, its a liquid filled gauge. is this true? what can be the problem?

How long is the line from the gauge to the regulator? What brand is the gauge? My autometer sport comp started doing the same thing. I installed a new gauge directly on the regulator with no line and I got an accurate reading.

Are you dead heading the pump or running a return style system??

Also you might make sure that you tightened the set screw properly...We have seen them come off adjustment due to vibration.

Its entirely possible but I've never seen it happen. Does the pressure slowly creep up to 6 psi when you first activate the pump? What size return and how far away from the cell is the regulator?
