its been against the law for years in Maryland to have it on the street-$500 fine
it can be transported to and from the track, but i think the bottle has to be rem. when normal street driving
if a cop stops you for something, he can pile it on
not sure why it is against the law, unless the bottled gas is a danger to fire fighters in the event of an accident or something
