Most of the time no, there could be little variances but nothing huge

yea I wouldnt run that if you are stepping up the jet, actually I wouldnt run it at all with your setup. You be better off going to a non projected plug such as the NGK BR7EF part number 3346

Our suggested jetting is a bit on the rich side for safety reasons. Thats why on the jet chart is states it is a starting point in the tune up. In a perfect world you should need to go down to about a 33-35 jet. But in many cases I have seen the suggestion of starting with the richer jet save lots of bone heads from blowing there car up.

So yes the 38 is probably rich for sure but 850 psi is a huge reason why as well. Get the bottle pressure to a 1000 psi. Airfuel to 11.8 and use a BR7EF spark plug for the 150 shot. Remove 6 to 8 degrees of timing and your golden.

Looking at your mod list you have a stock bottom end? If this is correct remember going up on the nitrous jet is going to raise the hp level to 200 hp when the tune up is right. Anything over 150 on a stock bottom end is steping out of the safety zone. If going 200 make sure you have enough fuel pump. Pull 8 to 10 degrees.

Yes i'm still on the stock bottom end. What if i ran a 67N? what fuel jet would you recommend? i have 33,35,36 maybe some others.

I'm wanting to up the power a little bit but not all the way to a 200 right now. I have another thread asking about the 200 shot but that is a future plan.

If moving up from a 62 to 67 jet I would suggest leaving the fuel jet as is and then see where the airfuel goes. I would suggest trying another pull with the right bottle pressure before making any changes and then start making changes.

Yea i plan on going back to the dyno soon, then i'll start messing with it to get things just right. Even if i don't up the nitrous jetting, would you still suggest i go to the BR7EF and ditch the TR6's?

yes I would it will be safer and will cost you next to nothing. You could get away with that 7 all way to 200 or so. It'd be a smart move to switch IMO.

It a nut shell, could you tell me the difference between a projected tip plug and a non projected? or show me a link that explains it.

To the OP I am sure you sprayed the car on the street and it feels soft on the top end, mainly because you have so much fuel. If you lean the car out by going with a smaller fuel jet and leaving the nitrous alone, it will hit much harder and pull stronger. I would try that first before upping the nitrous jet. Especially if you are doing the testing on the street.

You're correct, it hit hard at first but fell off up top. I was going to put a 67N 36F in and see what that does but i'm going to change the fuel jet to the correct jet first like you said. I plan on going back to the dyno but it wont be for a few weeks. I'll play with it more then, such as upping the nitrous.

What would a 67N 36F roughly be for shot size?

would a 36F be ok with that? or would i just have to mess with it on the dyno? Also, what would you recommend for timing with that?

subscribed.

Ever get the nitrous shot figured out? Im kinda in the same boat and around 11.2afr on the 150shot (62N 35F)

Im also gonna up the nitrous jet (65N) to see if helps lean it out a bit. Taking out 6 degrees of timing as well.
