Default hsw interface

so if i understand right this kit also adds fuel?..

so is this not the part i want to use to pull timing if i am using a wet shot setup?..

i want to be able to pull timing only when i ARM the nitrous system... but dont believe i would also want to add fuel because the nitrous kit already adds fuel?

thanks signed nitrous n00b

Pretty sure you can use it to pull timing only. The fuel and timing functions are able to be programmed seperate. the nice thing about the interface is you can actually see the timing being pulled on a data logger. Another popular option for pulling timing only is the lpe lnc-002 timing tuner.

you can do that with hsw. just leave the fuel switches off. and put your desired timing in. you can only pull 3 degree's without doing something in the computer program tables to make it pull more. I am not sure what that is though.

All that needs to be modified is the iat vs spark advance table. You can modify this and the interface will pull as much timing needed...

pull the 3, check a plug and go from there. Thats a small shot and some dont even pull anytiming on a 75 hit, but I figure you can always add the timing back depending how the tune looks...

If you are runing a non stock tune you need to check what your timing is set at. You may have to pull more? A wideband is a good idea to see the A/F so you can adjust fuel/timing.

Let me clear things up a bit...I would pull 3 degrees from the "stock timing tables" plus what ever is added in the new tune. again some don;t pull any timing on that small of a shot. I would until you get the tune up right, then add some back according to what the plugs read. Most shoot for the 11.8-12.2 range on afr. Although there is no designated afr... its about what your plugs look like, No two engines will be exact. Some will tell you to spray it and don't worry about the checkin plugs on that small of shot. I feel its a good habit to start early so you don't hesitate to do it when you up the ante later on... This will save you alot of money and frustration in the long run imo.
