Default Tuning methodology questions

My car is being dyno-tuned next Friday. I am going to run a 78N jet. SCR is 11.8:1. Stand-alone is @ 60 psi with Klotz 118. B8EFS plugs @ .030.

What is the proper method to modify the NA tune when tuning with the nitrous? Obviously, you take away timing and jet the fuel side fatter than where you think you'll end up with to start.

Do you add timing in first and leave the fuel alone?

Once the timing mark is right, then start going to smaller jets for the fuel?

How much bigger of a fuel jet should I start with vs. where I will likely end up?

Where should the timing mark be when on the dyno vs. a full pass? How much closer to the threads will it be on a full pass?

Thanks for the advice.

We get the fuel right before we start adding timing.

If your new to tuning you should start with a smaller nitrous jet.

78n should be around 250 horsepower. I don't know your setup, but I'd start with 100 horsepower (52n) and work your way up.

I'm not doing the tuning. Frost is coming into town to do it. I'm just looking for second opinions and to add to my nitrous knowledge. Thanks.

Thanks for the input, Wayne. Move fuel first. Got it. Anyone else?

Dont worry about anyone else. Just do like Wayne said. Take the timing down and get the fuel right before you start adding timing back. Your motor will thank you.
