Default Lowering window switch, gain et and mph?

Anyone ever notice by lowering your window switch you gain any mph? I am thinking the earlier you spray the longer nitrous will be on during a quarter mile pass. Also just because a car has say a 4000 converter doesnt mean the car isnt moving before it reaches that rpm when leaving off the footbreak. Anyone ever experiment with different low end window switch settings?

You certainly can. Nitrous makes Huge torque when you spray it at lower rpms. Your stall will usually flash harder. More average power over a run = faster mph.

I have been spraying at 3200-3400, wonder what would happen spraying at 2600-2800? I really doubt it would bog and back fire. Does MSD make any pills that low for their window switch?

We dont really reccomend lower than 3000. People get away with less but we feel 3000 is safe. Lots of guys with auto's that run big gear/stall get away with a pretty low activation rpm.

I think we have those pills if you need. Just shoot me a pm if you decide to.

Remember it like this, at 3000 rpms, your engine has time to suck in about twice air/nitrous/fuel as much a it does at 6000 rpms. Going too low will really raise your cylinder pressures.

For the reasons given above you shouldn't spray below 3000. You'll be much better off figuring out how to keep your revs above 3000.

As stated everywhere in this thread.........

I wouldn't go any lower than 3000RPM activation on nitrous.
