Default Fast intake burst panels

Anyone have any issues with them or has had a case where they saved your intake?

I recall reading a while back that they were kind of a waste of money. That people were having backfires and taking out the intakes and the panels were still prefect?

Yanking my intake off the car to rejet it and some other maintenance and was thinking about installing them.....

Putting a blow off disk in a plastic intake is a waste of time and money. I have seen people blow there intake apart that had the burst disk. I do not know of any stories where the burst disk saved the intake.

An aluminum intake will most likely be fine in the case of a nitrous backfire. What ever intake duct you have might get blown apart. I use to run the PP Typhoon intake, and the car backfired once on the dyno. All it did was blow the lid off the car
