Spraying but nothing is happening????

Question Spraying but nothing is happening????

Hi --
I have got some strange problem on my hands. I have a NOS 5177 kit on my 00 SS and something is not functioning properly. Is what happens is that when I spray nothing happens really or either it hurts my times. When I first got the kit installed it took about 8 tenths off my 1/4 now it just hurts me. I made sure it was for sure spraying gas...had good bottle temp...had an extra MAF and put that one in and it made no difference...took off hypertech programming and nothing...changed spark plugs to NGK's and put new wires on. I dont know what to do from here. Is this common? Please help?

Is there any nitrous spraying at all? Where do you have it plumbed into? Its possible that the wires are not making a good connection and shutting off. OR you might be running out of fuel.

Yea I made sure it was spraying. I have them drilled into my air lid. I pulled the lines out and hit the activation button and they sprayed very well i thought. i have 36 pills in there now and even put the 32 in to see if there was a difference but nothing happened. I also talked with a Holley tech rep and no new suggestions and was a complete dork about it.

whats your bottle pressure? I had to have mine over 900 before it worked right.

yea i made sure it was at least 950 to 1000.....i dont understand this at all ....

Do you have a FPSS on your kit? It maybe either be malfunctioning, or you may be running lean. If you were to spray and your FPSS detected a lean condition, it would close your solenoids. If it is way too lean you're definitely going to lose some NA power from it.

FWIW, I had a 14.9:1 A/F ratio. After tuning I got it back down to 12 and I feel a huge difference in power.

Yes I do have the safety switch. That maybe the problem. It is the only resonable thing. I guess I need to run it on a wideband? Is there a cheaper remedy for this...some simple way to check?? I may just have to break down and go to a nitrous tech shop and shell out some cash... not fun.
