Default HSW solinoid issue I think.

I have a HSW sudden impact dry nitrous kit. I have had it in the car for 3yrs or so and have ran 3 bottles through it with no issues at all. I filled my bottle yesterday and went to the track later that evening. I did not put a heater on the bottle at all and the psi was ~1100.

1.I cut my bottle on and went under the hood and activated my WOT switch and I hear the noid clicking but no nitrous is coming out.
2.I close my bottle and crack the line on the in side of the noid and there is nitrous coming out. I close it up and then hit my WOT switch and it starts to spray.
3. I open my bottle again and then hit the WOT and no nitrous comes out again.

I repeat steps 2 and 3 with the same results. I pulled the bottle out of the car and was able to get the psi down to 900. With the pressure dropped the noid operatedjust like its supposed to. Is it possible that the noids have a safety in them to keep from spraying with to high of a pressure. Or is the solinoid on its way out and I need a replacement.

The solenoid won't open with that much pressure against it

Thanks for the reply. I guess I have no worries then just gotta keep my pressure down at ~950. Its hard with a full just filled bottle with a heat index of 110.

That is what we initially thought that it was. So thanks for supporting our theory.

No need to spray it at that pressure. 950 is what we recommend.
