Exclamation Bottle Issues

I recently got my bottle filled and everything was fine. The pressure was a little under 900 and it was heavy. Well I went to go use it yesterday. Threw it in the car (Didn't notice how light it was), opened it, heated it up, armed the system and nothing happened. I checked it out and the psi was only at 300 and it was super light.

I'm thinking I got a faulty bottle but not really sure. I had already been having problems with the gauge on the bottle leaking the liquid that its filled with and now it seems like the bottle is leaking somewhere. The system is only a little over a weeks old and its really irking me now.

Did you make sure that you had pipe tape on the threads to seal it? You might have to refill the bottle and put it back in the car and pressurize the system and soap it down and see where you leak might be at. Is this a new bottle?

Make sure you close the bottle fairly tight and make sure your seal where the pressure gauge threads in is not leaking.

or get it filled and put it in the bath tub and see if it bubbles anywhere. sounds like something isnt tightened all the way down or sealed(gauge port).

^^^ tub seems like a great idea. I'm 99% sure your bottle itself isn;t faulty.

Sounds like you have a leak.. If there is still some pressure in it spray some soapy water around the threads as well as the gauge. If you had issues with the gauge maybe it is leaking out of the gauge.

if you have a nice refill guy...ask him to only put one or two pound in it. if there is a leak around the valve or guage you are not going to want to mess with under press. plus this will save you money on the nitrous if you have to vent it.

Try to use a airhose and pressurize the tank with air. That may work.
