Should I spray?
Hey all! Just wanted to get some opinions on this. I have a basiclly stock 2000 SLP SS minus some bolt ons like intake TB exhaust stuff n suspension stuff. It's my DD and I'm very dependent on it but at the same time I LOVE going to the track on the weekend and running it. My main question is would it be SMART to add like a 100 shot just for every now and then at the track or do I run a huge risk of blowing my motor? If I do decide to go this route I'll be letting Vengeance do the install. Again it's a completely stock internal LS1 with around 73k on it. Also for those who think I should go ahead and spray and suggestions on what kit/setup to run? Mind I'm on a budget
Thanks all!
Thanks all!
Auto or M6? I wouldnt worry one bit with 100 shot on the motor. Its the other components that would concern me, if its an M6 your gonna need some sticky tires which will put further strain on the stock 10 bolt. Also the stock clutch lasting. With an auto i wouldnt be to worried but i think youd have a good time with just a stall over 100 shot.

BUT if this is your DD, I would make sure you can afford the expense of something possibly failing on you................with that being said.............don't be a wussy, just do it!
If i was you I would just call one of the sponsers on here tech and ask them there are plenty of budget nitrous kits out there you can get into. Like stated above if this is your DD I would just watch what you do when you add power then stuff starts breaking. Vengeance is a great company to go with so your good there.
Keep in mind you have to have someone to tune the car for spray.

I forgot to mention that all I have ever ran are the wet systems. Nothing special besides a bottle heater. Basic NX wet kits. I have NOT run a system on an LS1 yet....previous systems were on a Neon ACR, Dak R/T, and my Grand Prix GTP. None of them were tuned for the system at all, but I think it would be a good idea to do so with the LS1 like dnkynrbk said........none of them were over 100 shot either.......mostly 75 shots

I would spray it and i'd suggest if you dont look at going up on the shot anytime soon going with a single nozzle setup. With the car not having a cam or heads/ cam then you chouldbe able to get away with the 100hp shot wiht no problems. Vengeance knows how to install and kit and tune it so your in good hands.
We have an introductory level brand called Brand X and it would suit your needs.

Other than the system i'd suggest getting a Window Switch, Bottle Heater, FPSS ( Fuel pressure safety swtich ), N20 Filter and a N20 Gauge. Those right there will get you a nice basic safe system.
