Default Knocking on the door

Adam Preston with the Blue with Yellow Stripes LSX powered 3rd Gen was knocking on Tuff's record last night. He went 5.136@138.05 in the 1/8th and 7.991@171.77 at Beech Bend. This car really impresses me on a 29x10.5 stock suspension on ONE KIT! Not sure what they have planned next, but I would venture to say they will step it up more soon.

The track prep was awesome again last night. I had no wheel spin what so ever with street tires. The car hauls *** and look damn good in the process!

Congrads !

Why is everyone so hung up on 1 kit thing?

Alot of the "1 KIT" guys spray as much or more on that 1 kit than some of us do on 2.
Not takin nothing away from them just sayin why not post jet sizes or shot size instead of "1 KIT". 44 jets and a progressor run pretty good I hear.

One kit means you have the ***** and more so the abbility to spay out of the whole and still make it t the end.

That is why one kit is such a big deal. Two kits makes it easier because you can hit it a bit softer off the line incase you can't dead hook on the full flow or nitrous.

One kit just means you have one kit. ***** has next to nothing to do with it. It's just one of many paths you can take to run the number. The ET is the deciding factor that sets the record. Not the number of kits.

He is on a BIG *** slick!

Like I said Progressors and 7531 boxes makes the 1 kit thing no different than guys with 2 small kits its just a different way to get down the track.

If anyone thinks any different they just dont know.

Number of systems, timing pulled, progressives, all power management. How you do it is up too you and what fits your car.

Apples to oranges comparing when comparing slicks to radials, stock suspension to 4links etc.. Much more than the number of systems. "*****" has very little to do with it. You wouldn't expect a 275 DR stock suspension car like ATV's to leave on the same power a 30x13 slick back half car would you?

Then again you wouldn't expect a 1.18 60ft. on a 275 would you? Congrats ATV.

Adam congrats a well. Amazing for anyone to reach that number with a nitrous ls motor.

I guess i better get back out with a fresh motor.I was on 8 weak cylinders and getting out of it in the big end.Maybe we will just light one kit to prove a point AGAIN!!!Anyone wanna wagger some money on who is the baddest in the 1/4!!!I never thought you had to be fast with one kit vs two.My tune im sure in two kits is not what people think.

I think you better, I dont see that .91 holdin up big dog.
Because I know what Jets are in Justins car to go 5.02, its about the same as your single 36 jets and I have seen his plugs.

We still have a few more race days to get there but we have the same jets in ours and have no doubt we can go as fast.
We are RACERS trying to win RACES if the race was 1/4 mile thats what we would run.
I like running 1/8th because its easier on parts but that dont mean we dont know how to tune for a 1/4 mile hit.

Good luck with the rebuild.

No ****. got more burned up motors than 1/4 mile passes and couldn't back it up. but a bucket full of 5.0s for smith and still running and you should step a side. I guess they burned the 1/4 mile tunning book after tuff went 1 7 second pass. LOL
