Default Plate or nozzle?

My brother gave me a nos sniper kit with a high flow valve and a purge kit for free and the bottle is filled lol. Should i buy a plate or a nozzle?
What is the cheapest and easiest way to take timing out of a Ls1? Want to run a 150 shot, So that would be 6 degrees right?

I would run a plate kit it evenly distbutes.
2 degress for every 50 shot is a good rule. I would upgrade you stock fuel pump and get colder plugs to NGK non proj. plugs.

The easiest way to pull timing is to get the lingenfelter timing box or the timing twister.

Where can you get the lingenfelter box at? Is the timing twister made by msd?

The lingenfelter box is available from lingenfelter or some of our nitrous sponsors. Yes the twister is made by MSD

I personally wouldn't use a handheld for anything. I don't even touch them so I don't know if any of them can pull timing for you.

As stated by others in the thread...

1. Plate ( Better atomization and distribution over a nozzle )
2. Lingenfelter Timing Controller is the best on the market for pulling timing.
3. NGK BR7EF ( Stock # 3346 ) is the correct plug to run
4. The general rule for timing is 2* Retard per every 50 hp

I just emailed lingenfelter regarding this... The LNC-002 has been replaced on their website by the 003 and the timing retard is not an advertised feature.

Here is their reply

Thanks for thinking of us. The LNC002 is currently getting a revised circuit board, and will not be available until spring of 2011. I do hate the fact we can't sell them at this time as the timing retard was pretty nice. I do forsee the new unit as being a lot nicer than the current one. Please keep in touch and we should be able to turn the new one loose hopefully very soon.

Thank you

Nitrous Outlet's plate is pretty sweet. I've been considering it.
