Default window switch question

I am new to nitrous and am looking to get a dry kit for my car after I upgrade my cam to a TSP 231/237. My question is let's say I have my window switch set to shut off at 6000 rpm's (rev limiter at 6200), but I short shift at around 5700-5800 rpms, could this cause any problems?

Couple things. I believe when you switch the TSP cam you're rev limiter will be like 6700 vice 6200. Why short shift? You'll need to upgrade your spark plugs to NGK tr6's.

Right now I am doing (well last summer) with rev limiter at 6200, I had my w/s set at 6000, shifting at 6100. I power shift, so the transition from gear to gear isn't much. The 100 rpm difference seemed to be OK. The cut off at 6000 could potentionally save an over rev if I so happen to miss a shift

When you buy the cam, check with TSP on the rev limiter settings.

Any reason your going to go with the TSP 231/237 over the current TR224? I'm spraying a 100 shot on a TR236 reverse split and seeing and additional 108rwhp (402rwhp NA / 510rwhp with a 100 shot). The cam you have in there will be fine even with a 150 shot. You might only pick up 5-10rwhp with the cam swap NA and about the same on the bottle.

Also with your TR224, why are you not spinning up to 6500 or so? The 387rwhp your making is a good number, but what was that pull to?

I would set your shift light if you have one at 6400, WS to 6600 and rev limiter to 6800.

I was just being hypothetical with the rev settings( mine is set at 6500). So if I did happen to accidentally short shift it wouldn't hurt anything?
