Default New Times on 7 cylinders

Hey guys, I will soon have some pics of my spark plugs from this past Wednesday, I made 2 passes, first pass with a new set of ngk br7’s which I have ready to take pics of, and the other pass with an old set I had, since I only mess around with the shift points and not the timming I didn’t notice I had a real clean spark plug, which I just found out that I have a bad injector which is not working at all, if I turn the truck on the header pipe won’t get hot at all for a long time, it still ran pretty good with the 150 shot.

Fist pass 11.16 @ 120 1.53 60’

Second run 11.05 @ 122 1.61 60’ Spun a bit then took off

Ones I get a new set of injectors it should help my NA times more then on the nitrous since NA doesn’t get any fuel at all as with the nitrous it at least gets some from the plate.

Or do you guys think I still might see a better improvement on the bottle too?

Here are the pics, as you can see number 3 has the death injector. A/F ratio was at 11.4
7,5,3,1

7,5,3,1 again

number 7

And 8,6,4,2

cylinder 6

cylinder 4

Number 7 after I rubb it with the finger.

i think you will see a bit of improvement from the bottle aswell since that cylinder will be down on power from running so lean. lucky you didnt hurt that cylinder with it starving for fuel.

11.4 on the wideband...

Would have been a little tuff to realize you were down a cylinder if you had not pulled the plugs huh?

Just pointing that out. Not too bad a time. Hopefully some 10.8x-10.7x in the future.

I know its running pretty good and throttle respond its perfect, glad I check them out.

Yeah the wideband showed 11.4, its a AEM. I now have to cut the threads off to check for a/f ratio.

Thanks.

Might want to check the coil on that hole also.
Plug looks alot like the time I left one of the spark plug wires off.

Looses about 2 tenths on 7 cyls. ask me how I know. LOL !!

Rest of the plugs look pretty good, timing is a little agressive for my taste.
A slight change in air and those plugs might not make it.
Maybe leave the tune up where it is and try the next colder plug.

Good luck.

I have the msd coils, which I still check but they are working good, pretty sure its the injector, bought them used lesson learn.

I was looking for a thread about anyone running on 7 cylinders, well now I know and hope to gain those 2 tenths. Would be cool.

I will try the B8EFS plugs, thank a lot for your help.

Why did you ditch your old turbo setup?

Went with a twin setup, I have everything ready but the boost engine, so I'll have some fun with nitrous for a while.
