What rods and pistions What rods and pistions are you guys running?Im thinking about doing rods and pistions over the winter im gonna stay stock cudes,what would you guys say are the best ones to run?
On the cheap I would say Scat rods and mahle pistons. Mahle makes a stock bore piston, so you won't have to get any machine work done to the block if you plan on doing it yourself. If it were me, I would do callies rods and wiseco or diamond pistons but I would just go ahead and stroke it since its not much more.
I've got eagle rods and off the shelf diamond pistons... Plan is to run mid to low 9's on them this year...
If I were to do it all over again I would have a custom set of Weisco's with a bunch of meat over the compression ring and a nice set of GRP billet rods. Probably overkill, but it's nice, durable stuff
