Jake,

I can help you out with a little product info and get you some information toward making sure you end with a safe and effective nitrous system to go with what sounds like a killer motor.

The SV1 is a very well designed carb. When using it, especially combined with the PI intake it is a good idea to run a plate that was designed around the combination. Nitrous Supply makes a plate just for this. We have not had our hands on it yet, but we can order you one and flow it for you.

While 100-200 horsepower may be the goal now, with a motor as capable as yours I would try and build for the future some as well. We always want more and we always hate to spend money twice.

We are the only company I am aware of that runs black bottles. Ours run $179.99.

On the main feed line I would plan for the future. No need to spend the money twice. A -6 AN line will flow a lot of nitrous.

Solenoids is going to be a very opinionated topic. We prefer our stainless steel solenoids. They have a large magnet and a very strong sealing material on the piston to make them not only reliable, but very responsive and durable when progressed using a Progressive controller.

Here is the solenoids NX offers:

By colored purge I assume you mean a LED. I am not sure if any companys are offering these as a complete system. An option if you are trying to get a certain look is our Big Show purge. We take a full size nitrous solenoid for a huge cloud of nitrous that will have the parking lot looking for someone else to race.

Since you mention the colored purge I assume the look is something important. Well if your like me, heaters, while something you need, don't exactly have a "show quality" look to them. Here is out approach to getting the heat into the bottle without the cluttered look.

A nice clean bracket with the heater built in.

Jets will depend a lot on the setup. Once you get everything else lined out. I can work with you on the jetting.

A Holley blue as far as a stand alone pump will work just fine. If would like I can go over your fueling with you as well if you give me an idea what your setup is like or if you would like to go with something a little more bolt in. Here are the setup's both N20 and NX offers.

You have a lot of information to go over and I am sure more questions. Let me know If you need any more help sir.

hi graeme,

thank you so much for your reply.

yes that is the plate i have ordered. (will arive soon) would love to hear what you think of it if you order one to test flow.

now with that plate would it be advantages to run it as a dual shot with 50-75 hp and then 150-200 hp.

or

run it as single stage with 200 and a progressive programmer

the vehicle is running a 275/60/15 drag radial at the moment.

the SV1 has a wot switch for nitrous fitted

do you have an email addresss so we can set up package. i will forward some picture to better give you an idea of my set up

regards Jake

Of course Jake,

Onlinesales@Nitrousoutlet.com

I would have to flow the plate before I would say to split it up. But two stages is a nice way of doing power management if you are not going to do a lot of data logging where you will have a laptop in the car anyways.

But in a lot of ways it depends on how you plan to use your progressive. If you are going to be making a lot of changes to, I would like to give the FJO the nod as it is laptop programmed and very easy to make adjustments too at the track. Again if you are going to have the laptop in the car.

If you basically want to set it up so it comes in less violent, ours works great as it does not require a laptop.

Most of this as you can tell is opinion.
