Question Budget 370 N2O Engine?

I am pondering N2O instead of a Procharger.

I see alot of 370(4.03 bore with stock 3.622 crank)LQ4/9 block FI engines out there but am wondering about it as a N2O injected platform.

Here is what I'm thinking: ported Pro-Comp or stock LS3 heads, forged (4.03 bore) pistons 10.7-12:1 CR,6.125 forged rods,a stock 3.622 crank, a N2O friendly cam, Edelbrock Victor Jr intake/Fast TB,and 80-160 LB injectors, E-85 fuel(I would like to have 520-625 FWHP off "The Bottle"and 750-820 on).

Any recommendations would be appreciated(CR,Cam,Heads,Intake,N2O System IE Wet or Direct Port).

Glad you joined the Dark Side.

What kind of car are we looking at?

Track only or does it see street time?

How often are you going to be on the bottle?

Who is tuning the car?

If we can get some info going, Ill be happy to help you spec out a combo.

I am looking at 1984-1987 Monte Carlos especially the SS model.

I would like to buy a rotating kit with a machined block as a cousin of mine assembles engines in WVA but he knows Jack about Gen 3 small blocks.

I would like to have a low 10 to mid 9 second Spring/Summer toy complete with A/C & power steering/brakes and crank windows.

Emphasis will be 60-80% street cruising/ car shows & 20-40% sanctioned drag racing at tracks like Summit Motorsports(Norwalk,OH),Dragway 42(West Salem,OH),National Trail(Hebron,OH).

Do you know what type of classes you will be running? Anything that might limit the nitrous system or head type?

What kind of race weight are you thinking you will be at with the setup ( Just trying to figure out how much power we need)?
