Default 5 Sec burst....

Looking to hide my set up, want to go with small bottle.

How many uses in a 5lbs bottle if I use it in 5 sec bursts? Looking to go wet 100 shot.

Does 10 uses per 5 lbs bottle seem about right?

~.08 pound per second for 100 horsepower shot seems to be consensus on nitrous... You wouldnt get all 5 pounds most likely probably at 1 pound it would be to low to use.

where ya gonna hide it?

My understanding was .8lbs per use, per 1/4 mile run, assuming 100 shot for a 10sec 1/4 mile run. I am only planning on a short burst, 1/8 mile, setting the window at 3500rpm. Wouldn't that be much less?

He said the same thing you did. .08 lb/sec = .8 lb/10sec. The problem is you have to figure in loss from a purge, hooking up/unhooking the bottle etc. When I hit my car with a 100 shot in the past, I'd be lucky to get 5 passes out of a 10 bottle before it started to act funny (less nitrous volume = more swing in bottle pressure during a run).

Unless you use NANO, the problem you'll run into is pressure drop due to a lack of volume. You may start a pass with a full bottle at 1000 psi, but see it drop SIGNIFICANTLY throughout the pass. This will only get worse as you make more passes on the bottle. You won't be able to use all of the nitrous in the bottle before you have issues I'd be amazed if you could use more than 3 lbs before the pressure drop was too significant and starts screwing with the tune.

Why do you want to use the smaller bottle anyway? There are PLENTY of places to hide a 10 lb bottle.

The car I am thinking to put the nitrous in has a small 6"x 6"x 20" space where I could hide the bottle and opener completely out of sight. Truthfully it would only be there for when I feel I need insurance power. Track use will be nearly never. I purchased a complete turbo set up, which I might still go in the near future, but fabing up the hot pipes are harder than I thought.

What kind of car is it... pm me if you want. There is PLENTY of space for a 10lb bottle unless it's a motorcycle

PM me a list if ya could. I've been using my imagination lately on hiding spots that are still safe. I'd like to hear some of yours. 98 Fbody
