Good luck with the fix and do your research next time. Maybe get someone with more experience to tune it as well.
But he had your MONEY tr6's in there how could it have hurt parts?

Bet if he had a br7 it wouldnt have burned up.

He aint the only one giving nitorus a bad name.

why the hell are you running a projected tip plug for a "135 shot"? Thats problem number one. You should have had a ngk br7ef @ .032 in there and your motor would still be fine...

also, find a new tuner. Pay a PROFESSIONAL to tune you car. Damn. If my buddy was tuning my car and accidentally added too much timing and it blew up, I would kill him. Thats not a mistake you shrug off...that dude just cost you a new motor

You live and you learn. You will gain knowledge from this mishap and next time you will be more prepared.

32 degrees on a 135 shot? Wow, that's all I can say. I have to ask though, how does someone accidentally add 4 degrees instead of pulling 4 degrees? What tuning program does he have?

Just wondering what size jets were you running?

he said he has hp tuners. I had hp tuners for years...you dont just add timing by accident and not realize it unless your retarted or doing it with your eyes closed.

Do a compression test. It'll tell you which bank you have the problem.

I've run 13to1 on my stock hypereutectic pistons in the LT1 for years. I just pull a lot of timing. 16 degrees to exact on a 150 shot. On my combo, I just kept leaning it out and pulling more timing and the car kept going faster and quicker and the A/F on the plugs look great. The timing mark is on the tip of the strap. 'Course the br7 NGKs help also.

But my car runs better leaner/less timing than richer/more timing. I would guess most other cars would respond similiarly.
