What would you do?
Ok. For arguments sake, lets say you are locked into this set-up: (Which I am!) -Stage II ls6 heads
-228/228 .588/.588 112 +2*
-TCI4400
-3.23`s
-Stock fuel system.
-Stock bottom end.
-And you had $1000.00 TOTAL to spend on a nitrous system.
What would YOU do for a simple, cost effective yet "get the job done" set-up?
Feel free to include opinions on tuning and things of that nature. But remember, you only have $1000.00 to spend on the kit/system itself. (Tuning would not be included in that $1000.00.)
So.....What would YOU do?
MSD Window switch ($80) ($50 for pills)
NX Fuel Pressure safety switch ($40)
NX Pressure sensitive heater ($215)
Total: $985
That gets you a nice kit with the main safety features
So that would be 550 for me
Then I would have 450 left over to upgrade the fuel system (fuel pump $108, then the other 342 to go torwards bigger injectors)
550
108
342
Nothing left
Or, put one together.
Basic wet kit $200
Main line $50
10# w. fitting ad brackets $180
WOT Switch $20
Bottle warmer automatic $150
Purge kit $70
Bottle opener $200
Thats about $870 and still leaves you enough for a Bottle fill and new plugs OR a Walbro intank 340M fuel pump!
The FPSS and Window are good ideas, but I was in your boat, got the basic NX wet kit, then got a NXL Kit and never did use the FPSS or the Window, BUT it is a good idea for safety reasons. Good luck.
find a NIB basic nitrous kit for $450 (NX wet kit, I have seen them on here, and other places for this amount)
TR6 plugs ($18)
find a NX automatic heater for about $150 used or a litl emore NIB for sale
MSD window switch (new for about $75 I think)
should work out good with your set up
