Default how big a shot b4 lifting heads?

lsx block, wiseco pistons, (bottom end can take it) ls7 heads with arp studs, currently running a 300 shot, thinking about putting it on a 400 shot. will ls7 heads/arp bolts/gm gaskets hold it? obviously will have proper tune... whats everyone finding is pushing the limit?

maybe I should wait to do 6 bolt heads...

With a proper tune no reason you can not do 400hp.

You will not find many here hitting that amount.

size of shot is not the problem for lifting heads. to much timing/ bad tune is. i don't believe you can get enough nitrous into the stock heads to lift them without an improper tune. JMHO.

4 bolt heads here, no issues with that size shot on a nitrous outlet plate kit!

Agreed with shiz. Ive lifted heads with a 150 shot abd cometic gaskets with too much timing. Now running a 250 and gm gaskets for 2 yrs without a hiccup. And there is prob some wiggle room in my tune.
