Default x275 with nitrous.

And a 427 cube. How often would you have to rebuild? I was talking to another nitrous user the other day. He runs mean street. Locally the class has been taken over and dominated by turbo cars. The faster than 5.29 lead trophies are no longer being passed out. They are going to X275 rules locally. Its quite a jump from 5.29 index to x275. He was telling me that it would bring his re-ringing from once every year or so to once every 3-5 events. That seems kinda extreme but so is the whole x275 thing.

So many variables in your question that it really requires you to submit alot more information on your car, weight, combination, etc, adnauseum...

In short... Yah....your not gonna be able to build a 427 motor w/ spray and have it live for a year at a time w/o looking at it every 2nd or 3rd race.

Turbo and supercharged combo's are going to eat your lunch and do it while being 5 x more reliable than a spray motor.

I would suggest doing much more research into the X275 class and look at the combinations that are running, who is winning and what they are using. This way you can determine if you can play in the sandbox with those cars w/o breaking the bank.

Just my .02.

it depends on the tune. Our motor is setup to be refreshed(rings, springs and we do bearings cause were there) every year. We normally don't need it but like a fresh bullet every year.
