Default Blow down routing question

I just mounted my nitrous tank above the fuel tank in my hatch area. I routed the supply line through the carpet and then through the drain plug that is on the top of the tank and routed it down under the car to the front.

I was wondering if I can route a length of braided line through the same plug and dump the line under the rear bumper.

Is this legal, or do I need to run it somewhere else and use a bulkhead fitting?

.

I use braided line for both my bottles.
It's perfectly legal and I've been through RT 66 which is the pickiest track in history.

Do I need to connect it to the body with a bolkhead, or can I run it through the open drain plug?

That I don't know, but if you think about it, if for some reason you need it,
you are not going to risk it flying around if it comes out under the pressure.
My car is a million times different, so I used bulkheads to the belly pan.
I don't have anything that goes through the floor like you do.

If you don't want to drill any holes, I would use 2 pieces of scrap and drill those,
put one on the inside and one outside and let the bulkhead hold it in place.
When you're done, just put the drain back in place??

Good luck.

Well, I don't want to have to drop the tank to do anything, that's my concern. I planned on running it through to a bracket I'll make behind the bumper, and put a bulkhead on that to keep the hose snug and not whipping around everywhere.

It can be several feet long, I never saw it say it must be routed as short as possible??
I would run it where ever it will be easiest, hell -8 is not that expensive.

Good luck.

I'll probalby just do it like that, run it to a bracket with a bulkhead to secure it.

Besides, the tracks I go to aren't that tough on tech.
