Default 1200 vs 900psi

Well ive noticed everytime i spray around 1200 PSI the car doesnt pull as well as it does when i spray at 900PSI. Is it because the pressure is too high for the solenoid? I dont get it. Im sure there are nitrous guru's out there that might be able to help me out.

.

1st, if you are dialed in for 900, 1200 will not be optimized for your tune up and you are running lean.
2nd, 1200 is more then the solenoids are designed for and you're lucky if they are working as designed, if at all.

FYI, most of us are 950-1000, and to be honest, I don't know anyone in my group of buddies that use over 1000 anymore.
I went down to 950 this season, and it's been very consistent, in the few test pass' I made so far.

Good luck.

You may be over doing the noid, but at 1200 psi. due to the pressure differences your bottle pressure is going to drop really fast as to were it would be a more steady drop at 900-950. Most of all manufactures recommend right around there for a reason.

950 FTW!!! Higher pressure to start just means more drop at the end in which you tune-up changes drastically.

Ok perfect guys, thanks for the advice. I just checked a couple of hours ago and the nozzle was also facing down and had to adjust it to face towards the MAF. With the way the weathers been here lately the bottle pressure during the day rises rapidly and stays up there.

At 1200 psi, your bottle is too hot. When the bottle temperature is above 97 degrees F, which is the critical temperature of nitrous oxide, the nitrous is no longer liquid. Gaseous nitrous is much less dense than liquid nitrous so the mass flow rate of nitrous through the orifice is reduced, hence power is reduced.
